<p>As I was in the gym today I glanced up and saw the hashtag #bbcmenopause &#8211; obviously this caught my attention. Now I didn’t listen to it at length but the gist of it is to bring awareness to the topic and consider the experience ladies go through.</p>
<p>I absolutely agree that if we understand what can happen during menopausal changes, it can stop shitty comment from guys, friends &amp; family that don’t understand. Yet, in my experience of working with people the severity of symptoms isn’t necessary.</p>
<p>In the extreme ladies can face</p>
<p>-depression</p>
<p>-weight gain</p>
<p>-anxiety</p>
<p>&#8211; hot sweats</p>
<p>&#8211; broken sleep</p>
<p>&#8211; fatigue</p>
<p>Just to name a few. (There are 32 associates symptoms)</p>
<p>Now, menopause is where we see production of oestrogen decrease from the ovaries.</p>
<p>Usually this happens between age 40-50 roughly, yet WHY are we starting to see early onset of menopause?</p>
<p>Aka if it really is the ‘natural’ decline why would we start to experience it earlier? I have some thoughts and later on some advice to help those suffering the affects of the menopause.</p>
<p>Let’s consider for a second a few biological responses.</p>
<p>When you are chronically stressed, anxious and or depressed you will produce higher levels of glucocorticoids (cortisol as example). The impact of high circulating cortisol can be it blocks the pathway from your brain to your ovaries.</p>
<p>It can also, imbalance your blood sugars which will send you on potential mood, energy and anger spells. It also will affect conversion of testosterone to oestrogen. Now this isn’t to paint Cortisol or its buddies as bad, they are life saving yet when used in the wrong way they play havoc.</p>
<p>Also consider, your adrenal glands that sit on top of your kidneys help regulate the stress response but also, they are responsible for the production of DHEA which can end up as oestrogen via various enzymatic reactions.</p>
<p>Yet if we are emotionally and physically stressed we rule this out. This is WHY you see so many practitioners talk about hormones and ‘try’ and balance the adrenals.</p>
<p>In my view things like the ‘Dutch test’ are pointless if you don’t look at the next 2 parts.</p>
<p><strong>Inflammation </strong>(identified and unidentified) &#8211; often these days I see ladies with poor bacterial balance, yeast and fungal issues. The problem with this is that the waste these produce cause inflammation in the body.</p>
<p>Inflammation will up regulate the stress response (that’s why we don’t start with adrneals / hormones), inflammation will also cause more oxidative stress at a cellular level and that in turn will cause cell and tissue damage.</p>
<p>These things like HRT might take symptoms DOWN but <strong>INCREASE your risk factors</strong> for things like <strong>stroke</strong> due to how this medication is metabolised by the liver.</p>
<p><strong>Emotional hygiene</strong>. I see so many ladies that are in transition in their life and this uncertainty of what to do next, what they want to experience brings forward anxiousness &#8211; thus triggering the stress response.</p>
<p>The more anxious / in fear we are, the worse food choices we will make because the stress response will raise cravings etc</p>
<p>Moreover, this will in turn affect things like sleep and motivation also.</p>
<p>This really is just scrapping the surface, it’s incredibly important to treat each person individually and look at the key drivers for issues.</p>
<p>For instance I haven’t even talked about binding of sex hormones, receptor sensitivity or immune issues which are ALL important too. Not to mention the increased risk of symptoms by being overweight BEFORE you reach this age.</p>
<p>So, as I hope you see, it’s NOT just a naturally drop in oestrogen, there are many factors that affect WHEN AND HOW you experience the menopause.</p>
<p>And don’t get me started on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) &#8211; not only is it no more than homeopathic dose, it completely knocks out other pathways and can affect mood and weight.</p>
<p><strong>Science shows us CLEARLY</strong> that oral medication causes increase risk to health&#8230;</p>
<p><em>“ Recent clinical trial data have pointed to a slight increase in the number of breast cancers among women using HRT compared to placebo. With regard to cardiovascular health, the data have shown an increase in stroke&#8230;” </em></p>
<p>For me a few simple things you can do right now are.</p>
<p><strong> -Diet / blood sugars</strong> &#8211; nearly all ladies I deal with have blood sugar issues and Maintaining healthy levels throughout the day. This can be emotionally induced, as well as food etc.</p>
<p>Start by just being mindful of choices. Picking single ingredient, fresh food. A mixture of quality meat / fish / veggies / good fats (be mindful of when you intake starchy carbs and how you feel).</p>
<p><strong>-Sleep</strong> &#8211; to help reset, deep rested sleep is essential. And I know the night sweats make that tricky, yet balancing your blood sugars will help keep that in check.</p>
<p>Keep off electronics at least an hour before bed, cool bedroom, maybe dim lights etc.</p>
<p>This all helps prepare the body for sleep and lowers the chance of cortisol production which BLOCKS your sleep hormone.</p>
<p><strong> -Move your body</strong> &#8211; get yourself to yoga, Pilates, light weight training to help with joint / muscle health.</p>
<p>It’s also imperative to move to stimulate the lymphatic system is like the garbage disposal system.</p>
<p><strong>-Hydration</strong> &#8211; cellular health and many processes require adequate hydration. Aim for 2-3 litres of food quality water and consider adding a small pinch of quality rock salt to each litre (as long as no kidney issues exist) to help with absorbing and cellular function.</p>
<p><strong>-liver health</strong> &#8211; the liver is amazing and responsible for over 200 different functions. What I see in ladies is poor stage 2 clearance. This is where hormones are cleared.</p>
<p>Now, don’t jump to expensive supplements, just do the above and be aware of what you put on your skin, makeup etc that all have to be processed by the liver.</p>
<p>So this really is a basic look at what you can start doing to help feel better, it’s more than possible.</p>
<p>When I work with clients I go way deeper than this to ensure a bespoke plan is matched to their history in health and is best suited to goals moving forward.</p>
<p>It’s why I use cellular testing to see exact pathways that are held up and what inflammation might be present that we are not seeing on the surface.</p>
<p>In a nutshell, the severe symptoms are <strong>UNNECESSARY</strong>. When the body is balanced, it will not show up in these extreme ways.</p>
<p>I’d happily take on a challenge from BBC to work with a person that suffers badly with menopausal issues and see the comparison to a someone just on HRT.</p>
<p>Now that might annoy some people as they have heard counter by doctors etc Yet I have had great success so I will always stand my ground.</p>

<p>Its very easy to get overwhelmed with information and not taking any action, so below I wanted to set out a set of points that really helped me improve my gut health and become free from disease.</p>
<p>I hope it helps you too.</p>
<p><strong>1.Sort out your diet.</strong></p>
<p>This is often more tricky than it first seems. Do you do keto, vegan, paleo, low FODMAP etc.</p>

<p>My view is all of them have benefit and will also hold you back.</p>
<p>Your diet is bespoke to you and you will do well to do a basic elimination diet for around 21-30 days to start to work our trigger foods.</p>
<p>Then you can start to introduce 1 by 1. 90% don’t have the discipline to do this. Yet it’s basic and CHEAP to do.</p>
<p><strong>2. Reduce Mental, emotional &amp; physical stress</strong></p>
<p>Most people lie to themselves and others about the stressors they are dealing with. You can’t hide from the fact suicide &amp; depression are on the rise.</p>
<p>I’d highly advise a simple mindfulness practice of breathing to calm your nervous system. Breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth.</p>
<p>Physical stress from the wrong exercise for you and long term injuries will also flair up IBS.</p>
<p><strong>3. Hydration</strong></p>
<p>People that struggle with IBS that leans towards constipation often poorly hydrate.</p>
<p>Just drinking 2-3 litres a day, contrary to popular does guarantee cell hydration. You require a good balance of minerals also.</p>
<p>Try adding a tiny pink of pink Himalayan salt to each litre of water. It should change the taste.</p>
<p><span class="_5mfr"><span class="_6qdm">⬇️</span></span></p>
<p>This is just 3 very simple tips that can make a great deal of difference when done together.</p>
<p>Many people will see progress with the above.</p>
<p>Yet, if you have hand on heart done the above and still struggle, there’s much more, like the 3 steps below.</p>
<p><strong>4. Stop believing that what you have can&#8217;t be solved (even if you think you have tried everything)</strong></p>

<p>I see this all the time and i get it, there are people that struggle with extremely tough cases of IBS &amp; IBD.</p>

<p>TBH most people with IBD hate me grouping these together because IBD is a disease. Yet as someone that personally HAD IT, we still have to understand the VERY same principles to improve our health.</p>
<p>One of the biggest things holding people back is being a victim over the condition they face.</p>
<p>I tried 100 things before i found the right diet, supplements and lifestyle for me. AND it cost me thousands of pounds in the process which most of the time i didnt have.</p>
<p>Ask yourself this question &#8216;Can you see yourself living with this illness for life?&#8217; &lt;&#8212;- For me it was a 100% NO.</p>
<p>Thus i was willing to keep going and count even the smallest wins.</p>
<p><strong>5. Understand the importance of testing.</strong></p>
<p>over 90% of the people that we work with in health have testing with us and have infections.</p>
<p>Just today a lady shared some testing with me of a 3 year old that got sick on holiday and has both fungal &amp; parasitic infections. This came simply from paddling in a fresh water lake.</p>
<p>In the modern world with our combination of high stress and ability to travel, we have become exposed to lots of infections that can provide the start point for triggering imbalance / illness.</p>
<p>Over and over, when we remove imbalances / infections we see peoples symptoms drastically improve.</p>
<p>Many people have had testing before and it come back &#8216;clean&#8217;, yet they still have symptoms. Heres the thing.</p>
<p>Not all testing is born equal, we use only the very best testing in the world that is proven to be consistent and accurate.</p>
<p><strong>6. Don&#8217;t just run for supplements &amp; drugs.</strong></p>
<p>Sadly, people visit the doctors and are convinced that the only way to treat gut issues is with medication.</p>
<p>Yet they fail to tell you about the side effects and long term health issues that can come along with long term use.</p>
<p>If you truly want to get better, you have to take back control, start learning what works for your body and what doesnt.</p>

<p>When i went from 20 times a day on the toilet 10, thats a win.</p>
<p>When i weened off medication, that was a win</p>
<p>When i stopped reacting to so many foods, that was a win.</p>
<p>Now, I&#8217;m 10 years symptom &amp; medication free and help people like you do the SAME.</p>

<p><strong><em>Have you heard that?</em></strong></p>



<p><strong>There are 3 stages of consciousness in your RELATIONSHIPS and SEX</strong></p>



<p><strong>Stage 1 &#8211; CODEPENDENCE</strong> &#8211; where male energy plays out the macho alpha style role and the female energy perceives itself as weak and dependent</p>



<p>It&#8217;s here that very often you feel stuck and not like &#8216;yourself&#8217; yet your socially conditioned perceptions keep you STUCK in your role as you just don&#8217;t know any different. Sex will often feel forced and staged, not much excitement, more obligation&#8230;</p>



<p><strong>Stage 2 &#8211; INDEPENDENCE</strong> &#8211; where male dominant energy explores it&#8217;s feminine aspects and the female dominant energy explores it&#8217;s masculine aspects, we become independent of each other, we feel like we learn to BALANCE our energies within ourselves yet we still get together as we purely enjoy the opposite energy in our space</p>



<p>It&#8217;s here that sex often is no longer on the cards in any way shape or form as to enjoy an intimate and sensual experience we require the polarity arc to be created between the dominant masculine purpose and dominant feminine flow coming together&#8230; That&#8217;s not the case here in stage 2 very often!</p>



<p><strong>Stage 3 &#8211; INTERDEPENDENCE </strong>&#8211; a beautiful dance of the two energies coming together KNOWING their own UNIQUENESS, their own STRENGTH and POWER.</p>



<p>It&#8217;s here where we beautifully come together and intuitively FEEL each other&#8217;s needs and desires. We communicate consciously. We have the presence of strong, purposeful masculine that creates the container that is required for the conscious feminine to fill up with it&#8217;s flow as it trusts and surrenders</p>



<p>It is also here where a sexual act is no longer an act of fulfilling out physical desires only, it&#8217;s Synchronistic Energy Xchange where we surrender to following our highest excitement and we KNOW that we&#8217;re always lived by a greater force than us ourselves and we allow ourselves to be GUIDED!</p>



<p>It is HERE where you begin to create your TRULY UNLIMITED LIFE!!</p>



<p>Back in 2016, 4 years ago now, I was very much in the trenches of exploring this myself and learning why and how my relationships across my entire life worked out the way they did</p>



<p>3 years ago I run 2 epic training sessions one for the guys and one for the ladeez</p>

<p>(there couldn’t be a more appropriate time to do this than NOW!)</p>



<p>I heard <strong>Tony Robbins </strong>say that a good few years back &amp; it hit me hard!</p>



<p>As I was hard wired and trained to have expectations</p>



<p>And not just of other people and the world around me</p>



<p>But even more so of ME!</p>



<p>And pretty f***king high expectations</p>



<p>That I could barely ever meet</p>



<p>And that resulted in deep misery,</p>



<p>In horrid self loathing,</p>



<p>And just deep down dissatisfactions with everything that I ever did</p>



<p>Most of my life,</p>



<p>NOTHING I did was ever good enough</p>



<p>And everyone around me was always better</p>



<p>Endless comparison games were so self destructive.</p>



<p>First and foremost, whenever expectation creeps in</p>



<p>We automatically f**k ourselves over as it instantly kills the opportunity for us to receive not just what we asked for but so much more and so much greater!</p>

<p>We can’t really and truly ever get rid of expectation in our life</p>



<p>It’s our mind’s natural process to <strong>create an outcome on autopilot </strong>for anything and everything we ever attempt and undertake</p>



<p>It’s like putting an address in your sat nav</p>



<p>It automatically predicts the fastest route right?</p>



<p>That’s what your mind does too</p>



<p>There is a caveat to that though!</p>



<p>Your mind only predicts the outcome based on whatever version of ‘<em>your personal software</em>’ you’re operating out of at the moment of your request for:</p>



<p>⁃ More fun<br>⁃ More joy<br>⁃ More health<br>⁃ More money<br>⁃ More love<br>⁃ Better car<br>⁃ Nicer home<br>⁃ Etc etc etc</p>



<p>You name it, the list can be endless!</p>



<p>Let’s take for example a new home request</p>



<p>You sit there and plan,</p>



<p>You set your intentions,</p>



<p>You visualise and consider all options,</p>



<p>Yet your <strong>deep rooted belief</strong> (‘your personal software’) is that right now you just simply cannot afford it, or even better (not!) &#8211; that you do not deserve to live in a place like this, that ‘people like you’ don’t live in places like that&#8230;</p>



<p>I mean WTF?</p>



<p>It all just sits there and</p>



<p>Your mind would instantly create an outcome that you just won’t get the house, won’t find it and you’ll live forever in disappointment, in a belief you’re not good enough and not quite complete without it.</p>



<p>And you know what the kicker is here?</p>



<p>So very often you won’t even know that the pre-programmed outcome is even there</p>



<p>So you continue to sit down and plan</p>



<p>Consider all options</p>



<p>You may even get to the point where you’re ready to buy</p>



<p>And something falls through,</p>



<p>You blame the whole world,</p>



<p>The solicitors and the lawyers,</p>



<p>You blame the chain,</p>



<p>You throw your arms up in despair,</p>



<p>Blissfully oblivious to the fact,</p>



<p>That in fact,</p>



<p>You’re so in alignment that you have no idea,</p>



<p>So freaking in tune with your stories you once told yourself,</p>



<p>The thing is here that they’re all lies!</p>



<p><strong>They’re just pure bullsh*t.</strong></p>



<p>But what if you don’t know,</p>



<p>You just don’t know what stories may sit there,</p>



<p>You stop and look around at your life,</p>



<p>The results or the lack of thereof you experience,</p>



<p>That shows you straight out,</p>



<p>All cards on the table,</p>



<p>What’s lingering deep within.</p>



<p>What expectation the conscious YOU may have for the outcome</p>



<p>And the unconscious commitment you hold &#8211; has a whole expectation of its own</p>



<p>And it will do everything it can to fulfil that</p>



<p>Our subconscious mind is 90% of your day to day life remember?</p>



<p>So it’s up to you to do something about it.</p>



<p>To update your software,</p>



<p>To change your story,</p>



<p>To realign with your conscious desires,</p>



<p>And we always align to our subconscious belief,</p>



<p>The conscious desire,</p>



<p>No matter how strong,</p>



<p>If it does not match with the belief you are deep down holding,</p>



<p>And what you think you believe in is not what you actually believe in, remember?</p>



<p>You’ve got some work to do my dear friend,</p>



<p>And it’s exciting!</p>



<p>Even though just a tad scary at first!</p>



<p>If you say you want this or that and you don’t have it,</p>



<p>Go look within,</p>



<p>As all you are doing is creating coherence between what you believe is true for you,</p>



<p>And what shows up in your reality.</p>



<p>So stop, pay attention</p>



<p>Notice what’s happening.</p>



<p>And even if the first step to appreciation</p>



<p>Is to appreciate the fact that you now know it!</p>



<p>You know you’re not fucked and that you’re not broken</p>



<p>Your software may need updating that’s all,</p>



<p>Go do it!</p>



<p><strong>Change your expectation for appreciation and see your life transform</strong></p>



<p>I did.</p>



<p>And it worked out pretty awesome!</p>



<p>And every time I catch myself expecting shit to show up a certain way for me</p>



<p>I pull back and I ask questions&#8230;</p>



<p>Curious questions,</p>



<p>As if I was 5 years old again,</p>



<p>To see what it shows me,</p>



<p>To see where it leads me,</p>



<p>As I promised you that always and in all ways,</p>



<p>It will only lead you to growth,</p>



<p>And to expansion.</p>



<p>Beyond what you ever thought possible!</p>
