5 Ways To Stop Sabotaging, Feeling Overwhelmed & Anxious.
I can often tell who will fail and who will succeed in getting what they say they want.
Over and over I see 2 primary reasons why people stay in overwhelm, anxiety and depressive episodes.
1. Environment.
No matter how much you convince yourself that your negative friends, family or colleagues don’t affect you. They do. Science shows us over and over that people shrink themselves to fit in. Sometimes they do it just enough so they are the big fish in the small pond.
Yet over time it wears you down having to defend yourself, to justify why you do things a certain way.
Imagine if you used that same energy to be creating the life you really wanted?
Having people support and give assistance to you? Growth will happen with ease, not daily struggle.
And…
2. Identify crisis.
Did you know that if you give the option to a depressed person to either see happy images or sad. They pick sad a majority of the time.
The same is true with music choices. It’s why depression can’t be addressed with ‘just snap out of it’
Your cells when depressed know who you are, how you function and have adapted that way.
You also create repetitive thinking loops that keep validating your stance (identity). The brain likes what it knows, even if it means feeling depressed.
So here’s how we at the Wilde Method go about re-wiring this.
We don’t ask you to change behaviours first – it fails as it threatens your identity that leads to self sabotage.
Rather we help you identify the underlying reward system in the body & mind that sees the benefit in the current identity and whether it serves you fully.
We restore cell health – most people regress because of complex feedback loops to the brain. That’s why mindset isn’t enough. When you can stop over stimulating your brain with cortisol and dopamine, you’ll be less distracted, more focused and feel calmer.

The same with starting to journal or meditate, just behaviours.
I’m not saying they don’t work, I’m saying it’s about the context.

Unless you can rewire your deeper systems of the body you’ll feel like you are on a merry-go-round.
Some progress, then it falls backwards again.

You need to stop looking to change behaviours and instead change the underlying reward systems of the brain.
You need to rebalance your brain and neurotransmitter loops to stop lack of focus and anxiety kicking in.
You need the support of not just coaches but a community of people that will move you towards your goals, not try to hold you back because it threatens them.
Accountability. Without someone holding you to higher standards, you will 100% fall back to what you know. You might change the content like eat better but you will just move it to somewhere else.
