(The Plan Our Client Used)
Before we start I want to tell you a little about this client.
She is from New Zealand, in her late 30’s and has an autoimmune disease.
She has worked with doctors, naturopaths, personal trainers and more.
(And none of them technically did anything wrong)
All she ever sees is weight loss start to happen, then it just seems to magically stop without explanation.
This obviously leads to confusion and frustration……which leads to then eating and drinking things that are a problem for her.
When she was referred to me, I made it clear that the reason she hasn’t succeeded was because she was doing things BACKWARDS.
She looked a little confused and also a little frustrated because I was telling her almost the opposite to everyone else.
I told her to take a week OFF exercise and just walk, as an example.
So, with the above in mind you should really make sure you have someone that gives you a SPECIFIC plan that fits you and your history.
Not everyone’s weight loss journey will be the same.
So, lets start.
1. We perfected her sleep.
She was not sleeping through the night and this is a big issue for weight loss. When you wake during the night (several times for many), this plays havoc with blood sugars, which messes with your hunger signalling, thus making your choices not great.
Sleep is also VERY important when you want to feel good mentally.
So, our first thing was sleeping through, even though she hadn’t done it for a LONG time.
2. The Top Down Approach.
Many believe just because they eat food that they can automatically digest, absorb and use those nutrients.
If you are heavily overweight or obese, these symptoms become impaired.
Thus, I start by making sure the brain and gut are signalling properly. We use exercises like chewing food 20 times per mouthful, gargling, humming etc.
Then we check the right levels of stomach acid and enzymes.
If these things are off, you will end up with gut issues, bloating, pain and infections likely.
3. Movement.
Many either do nothing or WAY too much. This client was doing WAY too much and this was stopping her losing weight.
So, first we got her to take a whole week off training and just go for light walks each day.
Then the rule is, you can exercise as much as you like as long as you 100% recover by the next day.
No 2-3 days of soreness allowed.
On the other side, people sit on their arse a lot.
This is bad for blood flow and circulation.
You have to move your body, just not too much.
Exercise actually plays a tiny role in weight loss.
4. Mindset.
This will make or break you.
If you don’t have a personalised plan to follow, your old habits will WIN.
You will justify the poor foods, the extra wine and booze etc. That’s why Day 2 of the challenge is a MUST for change.
5. Diet.
The right one for you.
People argue if vegan, keto, paleo, low carb / high carb are the best for fat loss. Its dumb.
Based on assessments we do, we can tell you were to start and how to change it as your body gets healthier.
A diet for someone with autoimmune is different to a diet for someone with neurological issues or someone with diabetes.
We can just say that eat this and eat that.
Sure, good quality vegetables you tolerate are quite universal but the amount of starchy carbs, protein & fat will vary depending on your health.
Now, this is just 5 of the things we changed for our client to get a 9 kg weight loss, even after a LONG TIME of not being able to lose.
As you can see, I didn’t mention shakes, supplements or other quick fixes.
In fact, this will work way after she finishes.
Even our client Octavia told us she has lost 7kg since she finished with us 2 months ago.
