YOUR ENVIRONMENT and THE PEOPLE you surround yourself with became obvious
Oh, and our PERCEPTION of the PAIN or PLEASURE feeling that we’re finding ourselves in
I remembered I wrote about this before
Did some digging
Found it
And here it is……
PAIN…
A situation you’re facing is making you uncomfortable, lost and often freaking angry
You have two choices…Stay where you are and continue to suffer
OR
Reach out for help, a sounding board and a mirror to see your situation in a different light
A light that makes you realise, that the only reason you’re experiencing pain is the interpretation of the situation you find yourself in
NO PAIN IN THIS WORLD COMES FROM THE SITUATION YOU’RE FACING BUT FROM YOUR INTERPRETATION OF IT
A powerful message and lesson I learnt years ago when reading book 1 of the epic Conversations With God series
The thing is though, that when you’re actually in it, in that situation I talk of, it’s often challenging to see another side to it
WHY?
Purely because you just know no different
You are too close to it
To immersed in what’s going on around you…
Old triggers get hit, old buttons are being pushed and old bullshit stories are flooding back in and you’re so in the zone, so in the moment that you’re simply incapable of looking at it in any other way to what you currently are now
That’s why you need that outside intervention initially.
Until you start seeing the other side yourself, until it becomes your new normal, your nature to stop at any moment of perceived pain and ask yourself what’s really going on here, what am I here to learn, what is exciting about it?
What’s in this for me to learn from?
You do need to get REAL here for a moment
The PAIN NEVER GOES AWAY
It’s how you interpret it that changes!
You need it as contrast in your life
To learn something new
Something you didn’t know
And learn from it to move on
Move closer to whatever it is you learnt you prefer
It may take time sometimes
And it will most likely take practice
But once it’s there it changes your life forever!
WHAT IS YOUR CHOICE?
What are you going to do?
Stay suffering or reach out to someone to see a different perspective?
